BAFTAs 2026 live: Full list of winners

The Royal Festival Hall in London played host to the prestigious 2026 BAFTA Awards, bringing together the brightest stars and most influential figures in the film industry for a night celebrating cinematic excellence. The glamorous event, held on Sunday, February 22nd, saw luminaries like Timothée Chalamet, Paul Mescal, Michael B. Jordan, Jessie Buckley, and Emma Stone grace the red carpet, all in anticipation of honoring the best in British and international cinema.

This year’s ceremony was dominated by Paul Thomas Anderson’s dark comedy, One Battle After Another. The film emerged as the night’s biggest winner, securing an impressive six awards from its fourteen nominations, including the coveted Best Film award.

Despite the film’s success, its star, Leonardo DiCaprio, was notably absent from the Best Actor winner’s circle. The surprise win in that category went to Robert Aramayo for his role in I Swear, a moment that proved to be one of the evening’s biggest upsets. Aramayo, visibly stunned, expressed his disbelief during his acceptance speech, stating, “I absolutely can’t believe this. I can’t believe I’m here looking at people like you, in the same category as you. Never mind being stood up here.”

Adding to the night’s accolades, Irish actress Jessie Buckley clinched the Best Actress award for her powerful and emotionally resonant portrayal of Anne Hathaway in Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet. The film also received the award for Outstanding British Film, further solidifying its critical success.
