LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — March promises to be a big month for movies, with one of the most anticipated films of the year landing in theaters this month.
8 News Now has compiled a list of eight films coming out this month that movie fans won’t want to miss.
Our list includes several book adaptations, a new animated feature from Pixar, and a highly anticipated horror sequel. In release date order, here are eight movies coming to theaters in March 2026.
The Bride – March 6
Written and directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal, the gothic romance film stars Jessie Buckley (“Hamnet,” “Wicked Little Letters”) as the bride of Frankenstein and Christian Bale (“American Psycho,” “The Dark Knight”) as Frankenstein’s monster. The film draws inspiration from “Bride of Frankenstein” (1935), which was based on Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel “Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus.”
“In 1930s Chicago, groundbreaking scientist Dr. Euphronious brings a murdered young woman back to life to be a companion for Frankenstein’s monster. What happens next is beyond what either of them could ever have imagined.”
The film has a run time of 2 hours and 7 minutes and is rated R.
Hoppers – March 6
What if you could talk to animals and understand what they’re saying? In Disney and Pixar’s newest animated feature film, “scientists have discovered how to “hop” human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals, allowing people to communicate with animals as animals. The film follows Mabel, an animal lover who seizes an opportunity to use the technology, uncovering mysteries within the animal world that are beyond anything she could have imagined.”
The film, directed by Daniel Chong, features a star-studded cast that includes Piper Curda (“Teen Beach 2”) (“I Didn’t Do It”), Bobby Moynihan (“Saturday Night Live,” “DuckTales”), Dave Franco (“Together,” “Now You See Me”), Jon Hamm (“Mad Men,” “Landman”), Maryl Streep (“The Devil Wears Prada,” “Mamma Mia!”), Melissa Villaseñor (“Saturday Night Live,” “Hubie Halloween”), and more.
The film has a run time of 1 hour and 45 minutes and is rated PG.
Protector – March 6
Directed by Adrian Grunberg, “Protector” stars Milla Jovovich (“Resident Evil,” “Hellboy”), Matthew Modine (“Stranger Things,” “Full Metal Jacket”), Isabel Myers (“Grace of the Father,” “Mixed-ish”), and more.
“Former war hero Nikki’s (Milla Jovovich) life is shattered when her daughter is kidnapped by a sinister sex trafficking ring. Thrust into this criminal underworld – while also being hunted by the police and the military – she must fight by any means possible to rescue her child.”
The film has a run time of 1 hour and 31 minutes and is rated R.
Undertone – March 13
“A podcast host covering spooky content moves in to care for her dying mother. When sent recordings of a pregnant couple’s paranormal encounters, she discovers their story parallels hers, each tape pushing her toward madness.”
Written and directed by Ian Tuason, “Undertone” stars Nina Kiri (“Out Standing,” “Let Her Out”), Adam DiMarco (“Overcompensating”, “The Magicians”) Keana Lyn Bastidas (“The Hardy Boys,” “Festival of the Living Dead”), and Michelle Duquet (“Say Nothing,” “Kaw”).
The film has a run time of 1 hour and 34 minutes and is rated R.
Project Hail Mary – March 20
One of the most anticipated films of the year is “Project Hail Mary,” which is based on the novel of the same name by Andy Weir (“The Martian”). Directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the film stars Ryan Gosling (“Barbie,” “The Fall Guy”), alongside Sandra Hüller (“Anatomy of a Fall,” “The Zone of Interest”) and James Ortiz (“The Woodsman,” “Girls Against Boys”).
“Science teacher Ryland Grace wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission: solve the riddle of the mysterious substance causing the sun to die out. He must call on his scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas to save everything on Earth from extinction… but an unexpected friendship means he may not have to do it alone.”

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come – March 20
The sequel to the 2019 film “Ready or Not” picks up directly after the first film leaves off. “After surviving an all-out attack from the Le Domas family, Grace discovers she’s reached the next level of the nightmarish game, and this time with her estranged sister, Faith, by her side.”
Directed by Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, the film stars Samara Weaving (“The Babysitter,” “Eenie Meanie”), Kathryn Newton (“Lisa Frankenstein,” “Freaky”), Sarah Michelle Gellar (“Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Scooby-Doo”), Elijah Wood (“The Lord of the Rings,” “The Monkey”), and more.

Vampires of the Velvet Lounge – March 20
In this horror comedy, “a coven of vampires is hunting on dating apps where they meet vampire hunters and schedule dates. The nights that unfold are action-packed modern horror madness.”
The film, which was written, produced, and directed by Adam Sherman stars Mena Suvari (“American Pie,” “The Opposite Sex”), Dichen Lachman (“Severance,” “Altered Carbon”), Sarah Dumont (“Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse,” “Zero Hour”), Stephen Dorff (“Bride Hard” “Blade”), and more.

They Will Kill You – March 27
Directed by Kirkill Sokolov, “They Will Kill You” stars Zazie Beetz (“Deadpool 2”, “Bullet Train”), Heather Graham (“The Hangover,” “Austin Powers: The Spy Who Loved Me”), Patricia Arquette (“Severance,” “True Romance”), Tom Felton (“Harry Potter,” “Altered”), and more.
“A woman answers a cryptic ad for a housekeeping job at a luxurious yet foreboding New York City high-rise. Upon arrival, she discovers residents have vanished without a trace for decades, fuelling whispers of a satanic cult lurking in the shadows.”
